When does the health insurance company pay?

“During the consultation, the costs will be explained in each individual case. We will be happy to support you if you have problems with the health insurance companies and also offer you the option of paying in installments.

Statutory health insurance companies cover at least 50 percent of the treatment and medication costs for a total of:

• 8 cycles of insemination in the spontaneous cycle
• 3 cycles of insemination with hormonal stimulation
• 3 cycles of IVF/ICSI treatment.

For 50% of the costs to be covered, the following requirements must be met:

• The woman must be at least 25 years old and no more than 39 years old.
• The man must not be older than 49 years old.
•  The couple must be married to each other.

Please note that cryopreservation (freezing) of fertilized eggs, sperm or testicular tissue is not a service provided by statutory health insurance companies.

Private health insurance

The contracts of private health insurers are not uniform. In general, the application for reimbursement of costs must be submitted to the insurance company of the partner who caused the sterility. We will be happy to provide you with an application letter as soon as the treatment method has been determined. We recommend submitting the application in good time so that the cost coverage can be clarified before therapy begins.
